# 11.3 $NUAI Voting Power

Governance in Nucleus AI is **token-weighted**. The more $NUAI a user holds or stakes, the greater their influence in DAO decisions.

Key mechanics:

* 1 $NUAI = 1 vote (baseline, subject to change via proposal)
* Snapshot-based voting prevents last-minute manipulation
* Staking $NUAI may increase governance reputation or grant priority access to proposals
* Long-term holders can gain multipliers or unlock higher governance tiers in future updates

This approach encourages **active participation**, **long-term alignment**, and **value-based decision-making**.
